Buffalo Ridge Airsports is located on route 29 in beautiful Amherst County, Virginia. Surrounded by mountains and farmland, the flight park is located just 20 minutes north of Lynchburg and 45 minutes south of Charlottesville.  Lodging and restaurants are located within a short distance of the flight park.

Directions to Buffalo Ridge Airsports

From the North:

Take route 29 South from Charlottesville into Amherst County.  Stay on Rt. 29 until you pass Rt. 151 on the right. Stay in the left lane and make a U-turn at the second crossover on Rt. 29. This will put you on 29 North bound.  Go approximately 1/2 mile on Rt. 29 North and turn right onto Airsports Drive at the top of the hill.

From the South:

Take 460 East (just past the Lynchburg Airport) to 29 North (NOT Business 29).  Continue on Rt. 29 North to Amherst (about 15 -20 minutes).  There are 3 Amherst exits: 29 Business South, Rt. 60, 29 Business (again) North.  After passing 29 Business North you will go down a hill, cross the Buffalo River, and go up the other side of the hill.  Slow down as you approach the top of the hill.  Look for the green street sign at the top of the hill (Airsports Dr.)

From the East:

From Richmond, drive west on RT. 60 West to 29 North and follow the directions"From the South"

OR take Rt. 64 West to 29 North and follow the directions "From the North".

From the West:

From Roanoke, drive east on Rt. 460 to Rt. 29 North in Lynchburg.  Follow the directions "From the South."
